Territory

The old Beechclan camp has seen some changes between its previous clan's fall and the arrival of Clayclan. Though the poison has washed from the river, the body of water has shrunken. The once purely sandy shore now stretches further, bleeding into silt and muck and clay which always remains semi-wet as if it remembers the taste of the river. Perhaps there is an underground spring nearby. In the summer the river vanishes almost entirely and in the winter, grows so large that it could drown a badger before shrinking back come spring. The tree-line has likewise retreated, its bounty scarcer but not without worth. The beeches appear to be suffering from some sort of blight which turns their leaves black and appears to slowly be petrifying them. Other species of trees are yet to be effected but this blight has left the forest much thinner. Somewhere in the forest, a large carved rock holds the history of a dead generation. The tunnels and any other cat-made structure have collapsed, but would likely not be unfixable. Though to dig an underground home so close to potential floods would be folly. Denizens of Clayclan instead nestle among the roots of a cluster of large-bowed trees, each set aside for a different rank of cat.

Borders

North - To the north of Clayclan's sorry excuse for a river lies the domain of Jinxclan, a group of unusual clans who have gone even more                   unusually quiet since Clayclan moved into Beechclan's old territory. Expansive and as equally varied in climate as cats, Jinxclan                   territory contains a swamp, the bottom of a mountain range, and a pine forest.

South - To the south across a forest fringe lies the former territory of Leafclan, who have long since abandoned the territory after a leader                  crisis. The overwhelmingly forested territory has been notably quiet without even so much as a rogue group moving in.

East - To the east of Clayclan's former river border lies the abandoned former territory of Aspenclan, a once great clan scattered by an                     unknown disaster. Clayclan has recently laid claim to the western most segment of this territory, which consists of bright yellow                     aspen trees and a great lake that surrounds Cricketleap's island.

West - To the west lies the unusually silent mountainous territory of Soulclan. Perhaps the silence is for the best, given Soulclan was a                        historic enemy of Beechclan. No cat has yet dared explore the rocky slopes to discover the fate of the cats of Soulclan.

Molded by the past, fired for the future.
