Clayclan

Personality: A jokester, Claywhistle is seemingly without a serious bone in his body. With an unrivaled love of puns and shaggy-dog stories this tom's number one goal is to keep everyone's spirits up, even if that means making fun of the most serious situations. While sometimes seen as accidentally inappropriate due to what some may consider bad timing, Claywhistle actually knows exactly what he's doing more often than not. Jests which may come off as mean spirited are made with the intent to get the other cat to talk and be honest, even if just to rant at this infuriating tom. While he doesn't have an archetypal sad-clown personality, Claywhistle is often under more stress than he lets on, trying to be helpful by being a steady figure while everyone else is breaking down. His self-esteem isn't great but he's been doing better with it than before, though by no means has he gotten haughty. Claywhistle's main priority is the health and happiness of his family and close friends and is willing to do whatever it takes to help them out.

History: Claywhistle was of the first litter to be born into Beechclan, of leader Sorrelstar and then-deputy Sunheart. His otherwise rather peaceful upbringing was unfortunately terrorized by fights between his two parents which cumulated in an explosive breakup with his father taking another mate in Shadowslip. This caused a permanent rift within his family and the young clan, prompting Claywhistle to step into his role as the resident jokester. He lives a relatively stable life despite continued family drama, remaining a steady and reliable, if a bit immature, force. Growing into a reputable warrior and training his own apprentice Frostpaw, Claywhistle eventually found love in the equally-outgoing Sparksong and the two had kittens together. He remembers little to nothing of the destruction of Beechclan, just of waking up one day next to Resinstar very much dead. Having helped lead Clayclan's first leader to his old territory, and spanning the clan's name in the process, Claywhistle continued to help his friend rebuild the clan and investigate why Beechclan's spirits were bound to the territory- never giving up on finding his family and friends again.

Family: Claywhistle's family consisted of his mother Sorrelstar, father Sunheart (as well as his later mate Shadowslip and their children Yarrowkit, Cougarheart, and Wispwhisper) and his brother Asptail and sister Barkknot. Of the lot of them he was closest to Barkknot and often took responsibility for taking care of her while he and Asptail had a bit of vitriolic, but well meaning, relationship. His mate was Sparksong. They had two kits Aspenkit and Bronzekit.
